Also known as Spider Veins or Red Veins
Thread Veins and Spider Naevi are closely related (both are a type of telangiectasia). They are caused by tiny dilated blood vessels which are close enough to the surface of the skin to be visible. Whilst harmless, many people consider them unsightly.
They most commonly cause distress when they are on the face where they are often seen under the nose or on the cheeks and chin, or when on the thighs, where they are particularly common.
They can be successfully treated using ACP.
